Hi! I’m Fern, and I’m a dainty 12 pound lady who navigates the world with my heart since I can't see with my eyes.

At 9 1/2 years young, I’m a gentle soul looking for a special kind of love. Because I’m blind, the world can feel a little big and mysterious sometimes, but with the right partner to guide me, I know I can feel right at home.

Here is the "tail" on me:

• Seeing with My Heart: Being blind means I can be a little shy, especially when I’m in a new place. I’m looking for a patient and loving home that can offer me plenty of stability and a predictable routine so I can learn my way around.

• The Only Star: I’m looking to be the only dog in the house. A calm and controlled environment without other four-legged roommates helps me feel much more secure and confident as I move about.

• A Gentle Companion: Despite my special needs, I am a very sweet girl with a quiet, gentle nature. I have so much affection to give to a dedicated human who is willing to be my "eyes" and my best friend.

I may need a little extra care and a lot of reassurance, but I promise to pay you back with a lifetime of loyalty and soft snuggles. If you have a quiet home and a big heart, I’d love to be the one to fill it.
